Great Job!!! We raised over $1,000 in gift cards for Sugarloaf School.

As many of you know Hurricane Irma destroyed a lot of the Keys and devastated Puerto Rico. We were very fortunate that our small town received minimal damage. We heard that one little town in the Keys in particular got hit hard. Sugarloaf. Many families in Sugarloaf have been displaced due to Hurricane Irma and are living in hotels, motels and with other people. Thankfully the local school (Sugarloaf Elementary) has been restored and the kids have everything they need for their school to continue to function, however they are without the basic necessities such as food, clothing, hygiene products etc.

Glad you asked. We want to help these families through one of the toughest financial months (the holidays) by providing gift cards to Wal-Mart, Home Depot (there is no Lowes), gas cards, Visa Cards, Publix, Winn-Dixie, and Toy-R- Us.

Please bring in a gift card of any denomination between November 20th -December 1st. There will be a box in the front office where you can drop these gift cards off and notes for the families are appreciated.

We will be sending down the gift cards the first week of December to the principal of Sugarloaf Elementary (Principal Harry Russell) who knows all the families that were hit the hardest and will disperse the gift cards to the families that are most in need.

Thanks Indialantic Families for holding true to why we are the “BEST ON THE BEACH.”
